Yoga for Kids

Children in poverty experience high levels of stress and anxiety. At Gilead House we’re trying to help reduce the stresses of everyday life for the children who live here. Every Tuesday night during Life Skills, the kids are having an opportunity to learn yoga.  Research has shown that yoga is a practical tool that helps minimize stress and regulate emotions and behavior. For children, yoga provides a healthy way to listen inwardly to their bodies, feelings, and ideas.
