Ways to Give

A donor-advised fund is a type of giving program that allows you to combine the most favorable tax benefits with the flexibility to easily support your favorite charities. Make an irrevocable, tax-deductible donation to a public charity that sponsors a donor-advised fund program. Advise the investment allocation of the donated assets (any investment growth is tax-free). Recommend grants to qualified public charities of your choice. Make a donor-advised fund distribution through your financial institution, or contact us at carries@gileadhouse.org to learn more. You may be able to double, or even triple, the impact of your gift with a match from your employer. Matching Gifts and Volunteer Grants Did you know that many companies offer matching gift programs to encourage philanthropy among their employees? Some companies will even match gifts made by spouses and retirees. Please check with your employer to see if your company participates in a matching gift program.

You can donate your unused gift cards or the remaining balance through CharityChoice. You will receive a tax receipt for the entire full value or any unused balance on your card. Go to: CharityChoice

You can provide much-needed items to support the children and moms. You can host a collection drive with your church or community group to gather items to help support Gilead House families. Gilead House is always in need of the following items: ​ Amazon Wish List: Gift Cards: grocery stores, gas stations, Target, Ross, etc. {These are used to purchase specific items as needed for Gilead House and the families when in need.} Office Supplies: copy paper and postage stamps Financial donations to help support the families at Gilead House with services such as counseling, child advocacy, case management, child care, etc. Paper products: towels, toilet paper, tissues Lysol wipes, Ziploc bags, garbage bags ​ Gilead House is not accepting any of the following items at this time: Toys, books Travel size soaps and shampoo - opened hygiene items Clothing, shoes, undergarments Beds and mattresses Bedding – sheets and pillowcases Baby items Kitchen items ​ Needed items can be dropped off at the Gilead House Office, Monday – Thursday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
