Volunteer Opportunities
Being a Volunteer at Gilead House is a special opportunity to serve single moms and children while increasing awareness and compassion for those in need in our community. Your gift of time is greatly appreciated and truly makes a difference in the lives of the families at Gilead House.

Childcare
Childcare volunteers are needed to provide supervision of the Gilead House children for various programs throughout the week. Activities include playing games with the kids, reading books, and helping with homework. It is a great opportunity for high school students as well as adults who want to make a difference.

Project Serve
Join us for Project Serve and assist with the upkeep of the Gilead House facility. Duties vary but include cleaning, home repairs, painting, facility updates, and various yard projects as needed.

Sunday Family Dinner
We’re looking for volunteer teams (school or service groups, teams of friends or colleagues) to provide a meal on the first Sunday of each month for 9 people, including 10 or more children. A great opportunity for our families to meet members of the community, and enjoy some relaxing and fun time with each other while enjoying a home-cooked meal.

Mentoring
The Gilead House Mentoring program is a key part of our learning program. Mentors have a lasting and positive influence on the lives of moms by fostering trust, facilitating life skills development, and modeling social and emotional well-being. Mentors provide guidance and encourage accountability as each mom pursues the goals necessary to enable her to transition to independent living.

Life Skills Ed

Prayer Teams
Join our group of prayer warriors to hear important updates about Gilead House and intercede for the families, staff, and future of Gilead House.
