Success in 2016

In 2016, Gilead House has been able to connect all graduated families (13 moms and 20 children) who have been in the program for more than 3 months with stable and supportive housing. Considering Marin County’s affordable housing market, we feel great success in that statistic. As self-reported, 100% of moms report that their parenting communication skills have improved after being in Gilead House programs, 100% report increased financial literacy, 100% have increased their wages with over 60% doubling their income. Children’s success is reflected by increased school attendance that delivers enhanced academic performance for every child. A safe, stable housing environment allows kids precious time for their moms to recover their goal of a purposeful life. Covered with compassion and love children work on healthy positive social-emotional skills.
