“Buy a Bag, Give a Bag” at the PCN Alternative Christmas Fair
At Gilead House we rely on the creativity of our volunteers. We encourage everyone to use their individual talents and ideas to support the moms and children we serve. Cami Mandell is doing just that. She has been sewing tote bags for the past year with the intent to sell them and donate the proceeds. By participating with her church, Presbyterian Church of Novato, in their Alternative Christmas Fair she is involving her church community and sharing the mission of Gilead House.
The theme is “Buy a Bag, Give a Bag.” For every tote bag sold, 100% of the money will be used to buy a kitchen package for a mom. The kitchen packages will be given to moms when they graduate from the Gilead House program. Each of Cami’s bags includes a quote or story about a resident. For those not interested in buying a bag, they can still “sponsor” a kitchen kit, and make a donation in someone’s name.
Thank you, Cami, for partnering with us, making a difference, and supporting the work of Gilead House.
