liz-and-ludy-squareGilead House Mentoring Programs

Mentor a Mom

Mentor volunteers are critical to the Gilead House program. Mentors are matched with one of the resident moms, providing support and guidance while encouraging accountability as the resident pursues the goals necessary to enable her to transition to independent living. Being a mentor is an eighteen (18) month commitment. Mentors are mature, stable women who are able to commit 1-3 hours a week to the program.

Youth Group Mentoring

The youth group mentor program provides structured, group mentoring for the children of Gilead House (the ‘mentees’). The target youth mentors are high schoolers in their freshman to senior years who can commit to the first and third Wednesday of each month from 6:30-7:30 pm. Youth mentors go through an established training program and are given structured activities and guidelines for each mentor session. It is a great opportunity to directly impact the social/emotional wellbeing of children in your community.
◊ If you are interested in either mentoring program, please reach out to gileadmentors@gmail.com
